MONSEIGNEUR POUF STARCK DRYAD
The star Philippe Starck has just signed for two new products: Dryad Monseigneur and Moor. An all-male design to Monseigneur, as opposed to draft November: a King, a cardinal, a politician? Anyway of France. The result is an aggressive, albeit in a controlled manner, made of precious woods such as mahogany, dried metals like steel polished, especially of tufted leather upholstery. Monseigneur is an asymmetrical sofa, pouf, armchair but especially in a Chair, with his “ars combinatoria”, indisputably arises as an emblem of the collection. And like Fabio Novembre even Philippe Starck has decided to pay tribute to the art of Henry Moore with the project of the armchair. Moor (e) presents volumes softly undulating landscapes reminiscent of the English countryside: a continuous line rises and lowers, fragments, but never breaks up to create the outlines of a harmonious session, in which tradition and modernity mingle in perfect harmony. Thus the capitonné, symbol of Victorian 800, is combined with a fiberglass structure mirrored elevating Moor (e) into a genuine “sculpture usable ” and outlining a high end design lineage.
