Barcelona is the armchair signed by Knoll, made according to the original indications of Ludwig Mies van der Rohe. In 1953 Knoll acquired the production rights of the Barcelona Collection. The KnollStudio logo and Ludwig Mies van der Rohe's signature are imprinted on the structure of each individual armchair.
The chromed steel plate structure boasts a handcrafted finish and polish that give it the characteristic mirror effect. The cushion is made up of 40 squares, cut and sewn by hand with button quilting. The squares come from the same cut of leather. The seat and back cushions follow the curve of the structure. The straps are in leather covered in the visible parts with the same leather used for the upholstery of the cushions, with the exception of the cushions covered in black leather which have black leather straps.
Upholstery in a wide range of leathers. The rubber used for this product complies with BS5852.
